One of the things that killed off the Soviets were access to Adidas sneakers, Playboy magazine and Levi's. People don't like it when their government gets in the way of them making a better life. Embargoes make excellent excuses for tinpot dictators. Once the Cubans get access to 4G networks and iPads and Toyotas, hey'll eb less inclined to the current regime's policy of shared misery.
