I just saw a report on CBS TV morning show about this Paris attack. Not one mention was made of the word Muslim. It was also called a 'random' attack by the newscaster.

Don't know and it's irrelevant--I'm not the one foolishly arguing that a heavily armed populace would have prevented this tragedy. Some of you seem blissfully unaware that the US is the mecca for mass shootings on this scale.
There are a lot of weapons laying around in the US and like any country, there more than enough mentally unstable people to pick them up.
But Islam is something completely different. You can see that right? They are taught from childhood that killing an infidel (that means you and me) is good and a ticket to heaven.

You have your issues with Christianity and maybe for good reason, but don't deny the facts. You live under the umbrella of human rights and fair play based on Christianity. That is the fact. If you doubt it pick up a history book.

Qur'an (6:93) - "Who can be more wicked than one who inventeth a lie against Allah?" If the death penalty is prescribed for lesser crime, then it stands to reason that it should be imposed for the most "wicked".
From the Hadith:
Bukhari (59:369) - This recounts the murder of Ka'b bin al-Ashraf, a Jewish poet who wrote verses about Muslims that Muhammad found insulting. He asked his followers, 'Who will rid me of this man?' and several volunteered. al-Ashraf was stabbed to death while fighting for his life.
Bukhari (4:241) - Those who mocked Muhammad at Mecca were killed after he had retaken the city and asserted his authority.
It is a sad sad day for western democracy that the only newspaper (that I found) that has dared to publish the cartoons is an Indian newspaper.
