How else would they enforce it? Wheedling and coaxing, "pretty please?"

Coming late to this one... but here it goes.

GET A JOB!!!! STOP HAVING SO MANY KIDS! I am so sick & tired of going into stores on welfare Friday & seeing people having 2 or 3 carts FULL of food & whining about how they are not getting enough food.
Anyone who feels sorry for ANY of these people is a sucker!

$925.00 isn't enough???? Stop eating steak every meal. Stop trading food for money & sex & drugs!

I'm certain, there are some who really need them, but as sure as I sit here, I'm also convinced that there are many lazy you know whats, who are collecting them, that could be out there working, and contributing for themselves, their family and to the community...they are robbing the system. But hey, it is the people running this system that aren't doing their jobs either. Our systems are broken, period.

but give em everything, give illegals everything...pretty soon there will be more people taking then giving, then what?

The correct answer is to end all such programs and let a free market do the rest.
The free market would rather such people starve and
die in the streets. So those programs are needed.

Sorry pal.

Sorry pal.

Did you see how much food are in those carts? Did ANYONE in that video look like they are starving?

The point is these idiots keep having children to keep the cash cow going. Those who don't get handouts limit the size of their families and learn how to budget.

And not for nothing, but schools now do free breakfast and free lunch, so all these people have to do is fix a dinner and maybe a snack. Many schools will also send kids home with backpacks of food for the weekend, so how in the hell do they not have enough money?

We need to go back to the good old days where if you didn't work, you didn't eat.
Yeah, bull****. I always love that right wing argument, in which they regularly see or know someone who dines on lobster while driving a luxury car on social assistance .

I disagree. That's a great idea! Of course, it's not going to work in every single situation, but NH has a program like that. The NH Food Bank will teach under-employed people how to cook banquet style and at the end of the 12 (I think) week program, they get an opportunity to pass and get a ServSafe certification plus they now have real kitchen experience. This can translate into them getting a job as a general cook in a restaurant, catering company, or hotel kitchen. And there's always a decent amount of open jobs for general cooks.

Agreed, but that is the case throughout the World.

The poor always have higher birth rates; maybe we can have a society where so many aren't living in poverty and Nationless Corporations aren't treated more human than humans?

If you are complaining about Food Stamps, but not The Federal Reserve creating TRILLIONS in made up money out of thin air and handing 95% of it over to the richest 1% in this country via quantitative easing -please take a seat and shut up.

If you are complaining about Food Stamps, but not Corporate Bailouts, Corporate Tax schemes, War Corporations overcharging our Government, Prison Corporations overcharging our Government-please take a seat and shut up.

There is TONS of waste throughout our Government, but some is more egregious than others. I don't find feeding American families and children that egregious when you consider all I've just mentioned (and more).
