Anyone who would celebrate these sorts of juvenile antics is of course a juvenile themselves, and also a good example of the attitudes that are currently undermining the effective working of our government.
But in the minds of many on the left, better to use the President's annual State of the Union Address for antagonistic schoolyard hijinks than to try to set the tone for our a better working of our "Union".

Ah, so the clapping from the repubs wasn't juvenile, just Obama's brilliant burn? You cons are nothing if predictable in your lame attempts at insults.

The clapping by the Republicans was clapping. There is a lot of clapping at a SOTU address. I read that there were 87 interruptions for clapping at this one.
That you would characterize his childish stunts as "brilliant" tells us a lot about your perspective on these matters and of course also Barack Obama's as the instigator of these antics. Enough said.
Do you people mean to tell me that out of the entire SOTU, THIS moment is all that was worthy of comment?
No, I did not watch it. The morning newspaper will tell me all I need to know about it. Based on recent history, it consisted mostly of promises that won't (or can't) be kept anyway.

They won't. Obama has one of the worst records of all Presidents in the last 50 years for delivering on SOTU promises. Pretty amazing considering he had a Dem majority in Congress the first 2 years.
Quote:
Mr. Obama has the second-worst record of getting his State of the Union policy requests enacted into law of any president in the last five decades, according to an analysis by two scholars that puts him only above the unelected two-year presidency of Gerald Ford.
Indeed, Mr. Obama set a single-year record for futility in 2013, just after his re-election, getting Congress to pass just two of the 41 policies he asked them to consider. That’s the worst in the last 50 years, according to the data from Professors Donna R. Hoffman and Alison D. Howard

Lol, maybe watch the clip & tell me who was obnoxious. Hint:it wasn't the president. By all means continue w/the predictable poutrage, it's amusing.
