I don't think you can lump all blacks as a group any more than you can whites or any other race. There are smart, educated, hard working, successful black people out there. Those that want to get ahead, be safe in their homes and feel like they have a chance to walk the streets without dying at the hands of thugs. Those blacks typically vote Republicans. As do whites with similar traits.
There are also blacks and whites that are lazy, ignorant, feel the world owes them something for nothing, don't want to work and feel that a life of crime and drug use is something to aspire to. They are referred to as Democrats.

Think about "Battered housewives syndrome" and "Stockholm Syndrome".
Understanding phenomenon like Battered Housewives Syndrome and Stockholm Syndrome are instructive in understanding how this can continue to be happening.

I don't know what nutcase psychoanalyst came up with this bizarre theory that the Stockholm Syndrome accounts for blacks identifying as Democrat, but it's right up there with other nutty tinfoil theories.

Try logic. Women traditionally lean Democratic because Dems have always cared more about the social issues that women care about and because Republicans are constantly trying to tell women how to live their reproductive lives. Young people traditionally lean Democratic because they are more open-minded and progressive, as are liberals. Blacks know very well who pushed for civil rights and who fought against it.
So? They voted similarly for Kerry, Gore, Clinton, Dukakis, Mondale, Carter, and Johnson.
The last time Republicans managed to get a significant portion of the black vote was Kennedy.
You can say that's because 90% of black people are "lazy, ignorant, feel the world owes them something for nothing, don't want to work and feel that a life of crime and drug use is something to aspire to,"
but that's not actually going to help Republicans get more votes. Not saying those things might, though.
When the GOP stops lumping (almost) all black people together as a bunch of thuggish drug addicts and criminals who feed at the government trough, maybe they can start to recoup some of the black vote by pushing an anti-whatever-other-group agenda.
If the GOP tries to appeal to black people, they risk losing one of their core constituencies. The party really only appeals to right wing authoritarian bigots, war mongers, and people who can't handle basic mathematics. How many of the bigots would they have to give up to bring black bigots into the fold?
Prove it. You are the one claiming that all Black people want is free stuff from White people. The burden of proof is on YOU, and YOU alone. Back your claim up. Don't show some lopsided video using the very worst of the Black population. Show me empirical data that proves that all 100% of Black voters want is free stuff from White people. If proof cannot be provided, then it reveals that you have lied, and all credibility is henceforth cancelled.

Blacks who vote Republican are often seen as "Uncle Tom's" but in reality, they are some of the most intelligent and successful African Americans out there, people like Allen West, Condoleeza Rice, Clarence Thomas and Shelby Steele.
Aren't blacks more in line with republicans socially on issues such as Christian values, traditional marriage, etc. When has it ever occur that a gay couple walk into a stage when nearly full black audience and the couple gets warm welcome?
How do blacks reconcile that and vote the other way?
Why would same sex marriage be an important issue with blacks? There are other far more important issues than those that effect just 2-3% of the population.

Actually you are wrong. Blue collar workers are typically union workers and they are "encouraged" strongly to vote democrat. And they do.
