There is truth in that.

While I am opposed to punishing the winners, if it were up to me I would be okay with capping CEO pay at 1,000 times that of their entry level employees. The rest should go back into R&D and lifting up the company.

Granted, that would mean the big dogs and their families would have to get by on $500-600K a week, which is not easy if they are accustomed to an executive lifestyle.

However, in hard times everybody has to pull together. If we don't the Chinese will keep crushing us.

Meanwhile, the Chinese keep rolling with new industry and technology, while we sit around squawking about taking guns to Walmart.
