Is that a good enough reason to commit a mass murder?

Arguably they have hope They hope that they are on the winning side, and will have some power.

You're just trying to debate semantics. You need to recognize the underlying problem, and that we have no way of solving it, and from that you should be able to derive that we do not need to, local folks there can, we can't.

The only solution we can execute involves killing ALL of them. And the cost benefit analysis just isnt there for us.

Cool, at least we agree that they have hope.

Obviously. These problems can always be blamed on somebody else. That's the basis of the liberal philosophy.

I agree. That's why we should get out and stay out. It's really that simple.

Some of those are messed up too. Sick people are in their element in war - heck we've had a few of our own (look at they U.S. soldier who walked off the base and slaughtered those women and children). But just because they end up as Islamic fighters doesn't necessarily mean they are messed up. Most of them are just foot soldiers. That doesn't mean they are dangerous and don't have to be dealt with, it just means that had their circumstances been different to begin with they would never have BECOME Islamic foot solders.

Again, unless the underlying economic problems of the Middle East are fixed (somehow) there will ALWAYS be MORE of such foot soldiers.

ISIS is like the Khmer Rouge - a REALLY NASTY bunch. But the only reason they can recruit so many people is because there are so many Middle East young men who are open to any message that gives them hope of a better life.

Do you want somebody to say it was? Of course it isn't. We can kill terrorists, but some people are intelligent enough to realize we can't shoot or bomb terrorism. We have to keep people from being terrorists in the first place. We cant keep playing whack-a-mole for decades.

For someone who is not particularly mentally stable it's MORE than enough.
As I said, pretty messed up.
