I can think of two reasons. Legal. Political. We'll find out as this unravels.

This is how they censor the news. It is also why CNN and MSNBC's ratings are so low. People know if they want to get the full story on television without stuff being left out, they have to watch Fox News.

Sure, that sounds like a "major offense," but I don't know if that offense actually breaks the law or is just a no no. Guess we will find out eventually and I am sure you guys are gonna watch this like a hawk so we don't have to. Beaides, I got more important things in my life than IRS emails.

Under the law, as it is played, it is irrelevant if anything of import is in the emails. The IRS head clearly lied. Story given was an absolute lie in the face of the information no one asked the techies to search.
The excuses are offered one after another prove to be lies.

'Not a smidgen!"

A lie is as a good as a a conviction. Ask Martha Stewart.

This scandal will bring down obama.

Default Lerner: "no one would believe us if our hard drives crashed at the same time"

Gee, ya think Lois?

Smoking Gun… Lois Lerner Wrote Colleagues “No One Will Ever Believe Us” If Our Hard Drives Crashed | The Gateway Pundit

This lying ***** should be doing a perp walk somewhere.

She's damn luck she's a lib with a dem in office. Can you imagine if this happened under Bush? This scandal would have been wall to wall coverage years ago.

Really? You honestly think this will bring down Obama? Good luck with that one.

We didn't believe it when one said it crashed.

Just a little too convenient.
Hard drive crashed, leave of absence and then retirement with full pension/benefits.

Yes, Lois got very well taken care of for taking the fall.

And now no one cares.

I doubt it-

Look at all of the outrageous transgressions against the nation Obama has initiated with no consequences whatsoever. If it is determined that Obama had knowledge, or orchestrated, the attacks on conservative groups through the IRS, nothing will happen to him. With a timid and inept republican senate and congress, no action will ever be taken against him.

Obama will never be impeached simply because he is black and the politically correct politicians fear being called "racist" for taking action against him.

I think that Obama could (and probably will) do whatever the hell he wants with few, if any, consequences.

"Not a smidgen of corruption..."

"Most transparent administration ever..."

It's like they think if they say the opposite of what they really are, everyone will believe them.
