Do I understand correctly that black people destroyed their own city because a black person was arrested and, while in the custody of black officers, he sustained a mortal injury? That strikes me as the definition of complete stupidity.
(Hint) Look for local news released shortly after the incident before this became a fertile ground for "news outlets" with an agenda.
Nothing in that link states that his spinal cord was severed, there is only speculation of "medical experts" saying that neck injuries can result in spinal cord being severly damaged or severed.
From the article:
"Deputy Commissioner Jerry Rodriguez said Monday that the 25-year-old Gray died of "a very tragic injury to his spinal cord," the bundle of nerves that carries messages between the brain and the rest of the body. Gray died Sunday, one week after his arrest in West Baltimore.
Details about Gray's injury and what caused it remain unknown. Police did not release results of an autopsy conducted Monday."
Gray's family has said he underwent surgery at Maryland Shock Trauma Center for three fractured neck vertebrae and a crushed voice box"
Are Deputy Commisioner Rodriguez or any members of Gray's family medical examiners?
Sorry but nobody who lives in Baltimore (and that's who I limited my comments to in my previous post) would assume that this happened because only white cops were involved. Just not the case. There are too many black cops for such reductive thinking by those who actually live here. As to assumptions by the media and those outside of Baltimore, I definitely agree that there were misconceptions.
Agreed, and then you have Al Sharpton inserting himself into the situation and fanning the flames of racism to feed those misconceptions,
Actually, I was thinking that the injuries Freddie sustained at the hands of the police and that caused his death was the worst case of police brutality that I've seen.

That someone can't see that what you just wrote illustrates exactly why this isn't about the race of the officers is certainly an illustration of complete stupidity.
I'd take those protesters a lot MORE seriously IF there wasn't the out of control Black on Black murders going on in 2015. Till then; a hood rat gets dropped, so what? I'd feel the SAME way if a bunch of Black cops dropped a known white supremacist meth head.
Ssshhhh...
You're getting off message.
So what if poor Freddie was a heroine dealer. So what if heroin has killed thousand of people, including countless children. So what if he had a switchblade on him at the time of his arrest. So what if he ran and tried to fight the police. So what if his fleeing from the police endangered innocent lives. So what if he was high as a kite. So what if he continued to throw his own body around inside the van after the police arrested him (according to an independent witness). So what if half the cops involved were the same race as poor Freddie. So what if Baltimore is a better, safer place to live because this POS is off the streets for good...
We should all be deeply troubled that poor Freddie is gone. We should simply assume the cops intentionally murdered him. We should simply assume they are all racists. And we should definitely assume they are all guilty before the trial.
And yet city data's conservatives have already concluded that Freddie Gray's death was justified and the cops should be exonerated, basically because Freddie Gray was a black guy with a criminal record.
Quite an assumption you are making. Anything to back up that "city-data's conservative" are doing so while the liberals are not? Your assumptions don't count.
