Secretary of State John Kerry breaks leg in France. (Iran, conspiracy, Obama)

On a trip Europe to negotiate with an Iranian official, John Kerry took his bike out for a spin and hit a curb resulting in a broken leg.

The accident occurred while Kerry was out cycling the day after meetings with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif in Geneva to try to overcome obstacles in negotiations on curbing Tehran's nuclear program.

A senior State Department official said it appeared Kerry hit a curb and there was no vehicle involved in the accident.

It appears that this was just a freak accident and that the Secretary of State didn't take that "curbing" thing a bit too literally. On the other hand, one might speculate if Obama sent him off with some stage encouragement, "Do a great job John, break a leg!"

• Good News - His absence won't make one iota difference to the USA's relations with the rest of the world. In fact it might improve things a bit.
