Wow. Bike riding is now a reckless and health-endangering activity. Who would have known! Do you also wrap yourself up in bubble wrap and stay inside a padded room for extra safety?

Riding a bike is not considered "out there" like BASE jumping. And you probably take similar risk if you walk across a busy city intersection. And your risk of death really leaps if you drive a car anywhere. And, by the way, people injure themselves with gym equipment every day.

Also, have you considered the risk to your health if you avoid all bikes and other forms of elevated physical activity and just stay sedentary in one place?

Life is risky and accidents sometimes happen. You just have to deal with it as best as possible.
