Yep, I grew up in Suffolk County. and my Dad spent his entire career teaching in the Brentwood School District.
I've heard how bad it has gotten with gangs from friends still there. Would have never of believed it 20 years ago.
Yeah, Commack here. We have Bloods, Crips, Latin Kings and now MS-13 in surrounding neighborhoods.
We dared to beat Brentwood in basketball once in the early 90's and they threw rocks at our bus on the way out.
A 15 year old law prevents the U.S. From deporting unaccompanied minors from non- contiguous states.
The William Wilberforce Trafficking Act was passed in 2000 and signed by Clinton. This act makes it impossible to deport unaccompanied minors from non- contiguous state who enter the U.S. illegally.
The Act was reauthorized in 2003, 2006 and 2008 and signed by Bush 2 all three times. It elapsed in 2011. It was attached in its entirety to an unrelated bill and passed and signed by Obama in 2013.

It's getting old that Obama cheerleaders still blame the previous administration for all of Obama's failures.
To complain that GWB added $7T to the debt, while ignoring that Obama will have added $10-11T by the time he's done is comeplete lunacy.
Previous administration? That's laughable, illegals have been coming to work for at least the last 50 years, blame the people who hired them and took advantage of cheap labor.

Illegal immigration became a tidal wave in the 80's. It peaked with the housing bubble in 2006.
30 years of " doing nothing" is intentional and has become defacto amnesty. It has not mattered who sat the oval or held the majority.
Of all the current and former governors who are running for their party's nomination in 2016, not one used their muscle to make e- verify the law in their state. Why is this?
The bipartisan Senate Bill is almost 2 years old and made e-verify a federal law. The House has not voted on it so that no representative's vote can be used against him. Thus far neither the House nor the Senate has developed an alternative bill that has gotten any traction within their own party.

It "peaked"? In 2006? Citations please?
Are you purposely leaving out the recent "tidal wave" since Obama tacitly invited our Southern neighbors to come to the U.S., legally or otherwise? His "open border policy?"

It hasn't? What about Obama's "Dream Act" Though it was never passed by Congress, but the World knows about it, and Obama constantly refers to illegals as "Dreamers," which doesn't exactly discourage the fence jumpers. it's an open invitation.
