Evidently Officer Casebolt, (sp) came to this scene following being at two scenes of suicides. This is from a statement from his lawyer I believe. he was emotional because of that. He recognizes he reacted terribly.

Now my view remains that he caused this situation to spin out of control by his actions. the other 11 cops acted right.
I am glad the one person charged has had the charges dropped.

I also think his resignation was warrented. but this new information does give me pause. I feel terrible for him. I hope he gets his life together.

does this information (provided its accurate) change any bit of your view of the situation?
Doesn't matter. Social media took matters into their own hands.

Cop has resigned.
"Racist White woman" put on administrative leave from her job
"Big White guy in shorts"..they are still trying to hunt his identity down and plan to get him fired.

All before any full investigation is done.
All before all the facts are out.
All based on 2 5-7 minute videos that are not complete.

The power of social media is real.
Don't forget it took down a country...Egypt.

Sad part is the death threats coming in to all involved. Apparently there are quite a lot.

I guess this either proves your point or doubles down on it:

BREAKING: Principal LOSES JOB for Defending McKinney Police Officer Casebolt (VIDEO) - The Gateway Pundit

A high school principal in Florida loses his job because he defended the cop on social media.

If seeing those things radically impacts how an officer will react to the next situation, then they might not be cut out to be a cop.

If he was disturbed by the suicides at the time of the call to the pool, he should have been able to recognize his own growing anger or whatever emotion he was feeling and just stayed in the background until he could calm himself.

Besides, what kind of person witnesses the aftermath of suicide and then even THINKS of drawing a weapon on a bunch of kids?

Why would coming from suicide scenes cause him to want to hurt people???????????
I don't disagree with you very much. I can see where being emotional could cause a person to act out in an inappropriate way.

I guess what I am saying is that while I haven't changed my opinion on what should happen.... I do have empathy for the officer. I hope he fixes some things in his life that are obviously broken. I don't think he is a bad guy.

I'd be worried if a principal in charge of my kids said the cop "did nothing wrong. He was afraid for his life. I commend him for his actions.". I'd be worried he'd pull a gun out in a school yard fracas. He has no business being a principal if he believes this was a life threatening situation that justifies pulling a gun on kids.

Nothing inappropiate about it...The girl was told to leave several times, but kept coming back and trying to incite more trouble...Do you think that because she was wearing a bikini she should be given a free pass?

She was a good 20-30 feet away and walking away when the cop went after her and dragged her back.
