Climate change: it happens all the time. Some of my older friends told me the big worry in 1970 was another Ice Age was getting ready to hit.
The warming will have a greater impact on the poor regardless if you support the reasoning. If you don't believe the popes message then go with NASA, NOAA, IPCC, DOD or the various organizations attempting to prepare for the impact.

Your friends told you....climate change happens all the time...

I wonder how these liberal, pagan, Earth worshippers will handle having a man of God on their side on an issue for once. Could be the perfect storm.

I care more about nature's precious ecology than I care about scumbag corporate profits.

That doesn't make me a "liberal". It makes be a conscious human being.

I agree, but people in control of the Left and Right have to differentiate themselves from the other side. They pick and choose positions that end up being "Sacred Cows". That's how you end up with the Left supporting "Global Warming"(Excuse me"Climate Change") and the most conservative Religion on the Planet, Islam.

While it's great that the Pope is forcefully speaking out, he needs to do more work on Catholic dogma re birth control if I am to take him seriously. Overpopulation is a key factor in climate change.

I predict many will become deniers rather than be on the same team as the Pope and Jeb Bush (a Catholic) has already said he doesn't agree with the Pope.

I'm a climate skeptic because of the many things that were predicted when I was in college haven't come close to coming true and the climate changed long before man made his presence felt on the planet but I also believe it's prudent to take precautions due to the majority of scientists that have adopted the human caused climate change theory.

I've been all over the world and haven't seen all these terrible things the People says have occurred from human caused climate change, anybody seen any that they know were caused by human impacts to the environment?

The left doesn't support Islam, it supports multicultural acceptance. You're applying a reductive view that conflates preventing your deporting brown people who dare say "Allah" in public with the support of religious terrorism. Adherants of Islam in the US, by the way, mostly supported Republicans before 9/11 prompted a wave of right-wing xenophobia that pushed them to the left.
