It might be manslaughter because the illegal alien was sitting at the seals (as he professed) therefore he inadvertently shot the woman vs his intentions. He might even argue that it's not even manslaughter. Don't know if a charge of animal cruelty has been filed. Also the gun was not purchased illegally, it was found on the dock as also described by the alleged shooter.

Hey now. That guy was just innocently trying to shoot seals in crowded public space with a gun he had stolen. It's not his fault. If only we had pictures of this we'd probably see a Confederate flag deflected the bullet from a seal towards this woman.

Slavery was the gold standard of white supremacy in this country. The south wanted to keep their state rights so they could keep their right to keep slaves.

You said it yourself, the flag is NOW tied to white supremacy and has been since the days of the KKK when southerns looked the other way to their dirty deeds and in more recent times when the flag was brought out to protest the desegregation of the schools. The south has no one to blame but themselves for turning it into a symbol of hate. Looking the other way is the same as agreeing with its misuse and the south has been doing that for 150 years.

As for the OP's attempt to connect the confederate flag controversy to the murdered woman in S.F, well that's just a ridiculous bridge to no where. They couldn't be more different.

Among other things. Do not forget, there were northern slaveholders also. States rights then as now has more than slavery involved.

Very interesting point. I notice that you FAILED to mention that it was the DEMOCRATS in the south that did that. I guess that among other things, you forgot about folks called CARPETBAGGERS. O well.

You need to work on reading comprehension. OP DID NOT try to do as you falsely claimed. OP was talking about each event being ONE and how one obfuscated into never never land ... and the other was rationalized away.
