If there is ever World War III between Russia vs. the West, my prediction is that you will see the GOP tea party base align themselves with their hero Adolf Putin....
....all because they saw him naked riding a horse.

I wonder if you would care to expand on that idea with greater wisdom, or is that even possible.
WW3 would be a war between 2 nuclear powers. It won't involve ground troops, tanks, drones or airplanes. You likely wouldn't hear any public sabre rattling. There would be no warning. There would be a massive nuclear strike by both sides. Then it would be over.

Absolutely reasonable by the Russians. America would do the same if Canada or Mexico would join a military alliance led by China or Russia.
Russia IS Mexico with nukes; crooked and so on. The big difference is that Russia's population is dropping every year because of a very low birthrate AND their men dying too young.
Nobody seems to want to talk about the actual political situation between Sweden and Russia.
Why would Swedes--after having avoided actual NATO membership through the entire Cold War--be talking about joining NATO now? Just for the chips and cold sodas?
A problem I see is that Russians appear unable not to behave like Russians even when it's completely unnecessary. Why are the Russians buzzing Sweden? What's up with that?
There would be no WW3. Unless you consider the exchange of a few dozens nuclear rockets WW3. Human life would cease to exist on the entire planet anyway.
