Now that is pathetic.

In my little rural area our county had an 85% turnout.
Yes, I agree, also pathetic. Portland tends to average about 72% for mayor elections. Though it is good to see the, 12-15 people in your rural county all show up to vote. Maybe you guys could teach the rest of your state a lesson about voting.

Lazy, stupid or both?
Same with other state IDs, which also have your picture and name on them.

Actually we probably have more cows in the county then people.
This is a rural county, no urban areas, no mass transit, no interstate highways running through it.

No, because I think nationwide there are very few progressives who think it's fine for California to have illegals in public office.

But yes, state's rights are great...or horrible...depending on each separate issue.

A democracy should not be a passive, it should be active AND emphasizes responsibility. Lets not infantilize it by treating us as incapable people. Weed out those who show no interest, make it harder, don't equate it with the ease of exhaling or passing gas.

If you can't be inconvenienced, you are NOT WORTHY of participating.

Well like I said, the rest of Texas should be ashamed of themselves for not bothering to vote in their local and state elections. There is no excuse for not participating in those.

There's a big difference between having some requirements to own a gun - versus - not being able to vote at all.

Study after study has shown that the actual number of instances of voter fraud (at least in recent years) is inconsequential.

However, personally I have not problem with requiring a photo ID, providing getting a photo ID is not burdensome.

Let's see

Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama.

6 Republicans, 5 Democrats.

Yup Republicans never had a chance with all that voter fraud.

This is far from over. It will work its way to the Supreme Court and then we get the final answer. No sense getting your panties in a wad yet.
