It's your opinion. You are welcome to it. Me? I think he was an out and out traitor. There were much, much better ways for him to blow the whistle instead of blowing Putin, don't you think?

What did Snowden do that HIllary didn't do?

Aren't they both just a couple of disseminators?

A big open one, and a little private one?

Personally, I like the big one better.

Obviously you're not aware of what happened to previous NSA whistleblowers like Thomas Drake. The government charged him under the Espionage Act so they could suppress his testimony. Now the IG at the Defense Department is claiming that documents related to Mr. Drake's whistleblowing have been lost.

Whistleblower and great American patriot Edward Snowden did what he had to do because he had no other recourse. Since no man is above the law he should be allowed to return to the U.S. to face an open court and then be sentenced to nothing more than community service.

Wow. Are you really clueless to understand what the author did here? It has to do with past and present. He could have =/= does have.

There were very real mechanisms in place while he worked for the NSA to report the objections he had. He did not use them.

The thing about Snowden and Manning is, they took it upon themselves to decide what they thought was right, never mind clearly breaking US law and bypassing any sort of discretion in the process. We know they had no real concern as the the amount and type of information they released was so voluminous, it would be impossible for them to know what they released. If they did not know what they released, how can they argue the American public should know about it? The truth of the matter is, they are narcissist, looking to be a martyr/hero. In other words, completely self-serving.

He's already performed enough community service to pay for a 1000 felonies.

So to prove that you're fair and balanced, what should be done to liars and war criminals like George W. Bush and Dick "weapons of mass destruction" Cheney? Remember that it was during their administration that the warrantless wiretapping started.

Default Snowden a traitor, no question

There were other mechanisms that Snowden could've employed to make his case, all of which would not have exposed so much privileged information to the wrong people. Conservatives give him a pass because the man in the White House is a Democrat, and further still, a black man. If a Republican were in the White House at the time Snowden did this, he'd be branded as a traitor by the Pubs.

"Snowden is the biggest American hero in the past 200 years", is one the most absurd statements that has ever been made. To believe it, my head would have to be small enough to fit on the head of the smallest pin.
