Agreed on last point. The Black "Teen" with chip on his shoulder was looking to be a bully when he physically attacked the cop. He's lucky he didn't pick up this week's Darwin award.
Jaywalking in the transit lanes is done all the time by various people rushing to catch a bus and moreso everyday on every street in every city in the world where it is equally dangerous and it takes a special kind to elevate it to a major infraction.

He was a kid, a sixteen year old kid, says right there on his birth certificate and it takes a special kind to equate this kid to anything other.

He was beaten for jaywalking. Had the stupid cop just hollered and let it go, no beating. It takes a special kind to encourage cops to manhandle you for a minor infraction.

You have no idea what a guy in a suit might have done if he thought duddly do-right was going to lay a beating on him with that night stick. It takes a special kind to suggest an autonomic reaction of grabbing the stick to prevent yourself from being hit with it when that was the very obvious intent of the cop wielding the thing in the first place is akin to taking the cops weapon.

He did not attack the cop.... other way around as his lawyer will plead and witnesses will corroborate. the first contact was the cop grabbing him by the arm...oooopsy, you do that to anyone and you've committed assault. It takes a special kind to ignore the first assault having already taken place showing the victim the cop's intent to physically manhandle someone over jaywalking.

Darwin award goes to cop for escalating a simple jaywalking into a newsworthy event straight out of the Rodney King playbook.

This is not about the law, this is about a cop applying a little street justice. Retiredcop knows what this is all about.

  • I doubt if he would qualify for the contest. There is no category for being that stupid.

I finally watched the video.
what the hell are you people talking about?
4 cops (FOUR) took the kid down and cuffed him. The rest of the 9 (were there 9?) just stood there, never touched the kid.
I must have missed something, I did not see a night stick deployed at all.

The foul mouthed broad in the back ground should have been arrested for profanity and obscenities in a public place. Her language was totally inexcusable, IMO.

the kid did not comply with instructions from beginning to end. Sorry, but we can not expect our law enforcement to just shrug their shoulders and walk away.
However, we should not be surprised when that starts to happen!
IMO, it will!
If it hasn't happened already.

I would be very cautious about claiming to start movements to shoot cops. In fact, no more than you posted will get you on a "special list."

I am sure you can get your opinion across without talking or threatening to promote shooting Cops. Its bad Karma.

He was beaten because a hispanic cop couldn't stand being ignored by a black teen.

Resisting what might I ask? A cop has the right to arrest you over a minor infraction like jaywalking?

If anyone grabs your arm to redirect you, detain you, or just give you a shaking, that's otherwise classed as an assault.

Cops get to do that for jaywalking where you're from?

He is old enough to know how to play being a "A" Hole, then he is old enough to get his Butt kicked. The Cop should have been smarter, and just tasered him, letting him twitch around in the street, and wet himself, or worse. Call it "educational."

It's called jaywalking or obstructing traffic and unfortunately being a black male with an attitude does not make you immune to laws. Usually just a ticket and brief detention , unless you do something idiotic like this thug. Don't resist breathe easy.

So now Hispanic cops are joining the conspiracy against black males . Good to know
