So what a group of people think is common knowledge to you? You know what people think? You are amazing. Is your name by any chance Kreskin?

I am within 8 months of retiring and I am self employed, so this will make no difference to me what so ever. That said, when you go to a 30 hour work week, you won't be paid for 40 hours. You take a 25% reduction in pay. If you can handle such a reduction as a trade off for the added time off, more power to you. Additionally, if you are working for an employer that provides a fund matching 401K or similar plan, you will get a reduction in that too. For all I care you can go to a 20 hour work week, but there is no free lunch in this life.

At the end of the day, pay is based on productivity and it's possible to be just as productive in 30 hours as 40. But not likely, I would expect some reduction or stagnation in pay resulting from this due to reduced GDP of the nation.

yeah, or that more people need to pay more taxes because taking money out of individuals pocket makes them happy and productive?

Democrats object to more people paying taxes.. they want to focus on a small segment

I think a lot of people would rather work one job that covers their needs.
And yet you left wing kooks continue to celebrate Democratic policies which reduce this availability.
