But, if you google you will find that Scandinavians have more vacation and work less hours a week than Americans. I do not give you a link because what I am saying is common knowledge.
So what a group of people think is common knowledge to you? You know what people think? You are amazing. Is your name by any chance Kreskin?
I am within 8 months of retiring and I am self employed, so this will make no difference to me what so ever. That said, when you go to a 30 hour work week, you won't be paid for 40 hours. You take a 25% reduction in pay. If you can handle such a reduction as a trade off for the added time off, more power to you. Additionally, if you are working for an employer that provides a fund matching 401K or similar plan, you will get a reduction in that too. For all I care you can go to a 20 hour work week, but there is no free lunch in this life.

At the end of the day, pay is based on productivity and it's possible to be just as productive in 30 hours as 40. But not likely, I would expect some reduction or stagnation in pay resulting from this due to reduced GDP of the nation.
In the meantime the American middle class republikans think Americans should work three jobs and 60 hours a week with no vacation.
fail. We republicans object to Democratic policies which cause this, and the stupid liberal idiots who dont understand why the policies result in this..
Swedish health care is mostly government funded so they don't have the need for those types of job benefits like we do.
And at the very notion that the poor segments of society, begin to contribute to the very tax policy they benefit from, which takes place in Sweden, the Democrats moan and groan non stop.
