Godbless all those souls that lost their lives today and their families.

The only ones there not armed are the normal citizens. The criminals and loons still have their guns irrespective of your laws. Take a look at Baltimore, Chicago and the list goes on and on. Gun laws only keep guns out of the hands of responsible citizens. They do nothing to prevent criminals and lunatics from obtaining them.
Should we give out guns without laws or checks to decrease these shootings?

If we are safer without guns then why doesn't Obama disarm all his body guards?

Right on what? Did 0bama even know the facts of the case yet? No, he didn't. He's a despicable demagogue.

He will always have people with guns protecting him and his family, he just doesn't want any of us having guns to protect ourselves and our families.

Ok! Lots of haters out there. Obama says something and he's wrong. If he doesn't say anything he's wrong. Get over it! I am sure most people are tired of mass shootings several times a year by someone who has a mental problem.
Something has to be done. We need to get the politics out of it and have a conversation. It seems that people on the right have let the NRA make their minds up for them. I know there is a lot of money on the table and people have the right to bear arms. Can't we at least have some kind of agreement on how to get the guns out of the troubled people or mentally unstable?
I wish I had the answers. I'm not sure if anyone does. We do need to stop the killing!

I think all the democrats are in favor of doing this. Note we need to convince the GOP to get on board since they have the majority.

Ah, yes, "this sort of thing".

Arrange these in order of deaths per year:

Automobile accidents
Preventable hospital errors
Homicides by handguns
Alcohol deaths
Sepsis
Prescription drugs
