So let me get this straight. Two Muslims who get fired for refusing to do something that went against their religion and personal beliefs are awarded $240k, while a Christian baker who refused to do something that goes against his religion and personal beliefs gets fined, loses his business, threatened with jail time and gets death threats? This country gets more ****ed up by the day because of PC, liberal pieces of ****. I cannot wait until someone with common sense gets back in the White House and all these liberals are kicked out of office and replaced for good.
Your problem is not a particular presidential administration.
Under the law there is something called reasonable accommodation. Basically as long as it doesn't have more than a minimal effect on an employer's business, the employer must accommodate the religious beliefs of their employees. In this case the two that were let go requested that they ship other items instead. That would be a reasonable accommodation as long as it wouldn't have more than a minimal effect on the business itself. The company admitted liability in this case.
As far as the Bakery goes, for starters they are the employer and had a customer request. As per discrimination laws, they can't refuse service to one person that they offer someone else (which is what they did), on top of that they could have avoided the situation if they followed the similar reasonable accommodation law. Not do it themselves, but arrange for someone else to bake the cake, they refused to do that as well.
The 1965 Civil Rights Act specifies how employers must treat certain classes of employees - by making reasonable accommodation. The trucking company failed to do so. And apparently admitted to failing to do so.
The 1965 Civil Rights Act also specifies how businesses must treat the public - without discriminating against particular classes of people. The bakery failed to do so, and in fact made a big deal out of failing to do so.

Your problem is the Civil Rights Act of 1965.
No, its the current administration. These kinds of ridiculous things did not happen before Obama and the PC liberals took over and started destroying this country.

Really?
No suits were filed or won based on anti-discrimination laws or EEOC laws before Obama became president?
These two Muslims have not been discriminated against.
The company said that they could have easily accommodated their request. The company ADMITTED that they were in violation of the employment law.
I personally think it's stupid, if you are hired to do a job, then do the job or find another one, but the law doesn't agree with my opinion of this issue.
