Probably. With that said, I've been to Texas. Big state...nice scenery in places...loved Dallas and Ft. Worth.

[didn't like San Antonio much, though]

But Guadalupe Peak, at 8,751 feet ASL and the highest feature in Texas is NOT the highest mountain in the US west of the Mississippi River.

Nope, that'd be Mount Whitney in California, or Mount Denali in Alaska if we were gonna include outside of the CONUS
