That is total BS. Americans don't want to work for lowball wages that illegals do and still pay taxes and come out with even less. My area doesn't have a large illegal population and yet construction jobs are still done. Landscaping jobs are still done. Restaurants are still staffed. Obviously Americans are willing to work.
Not true everywhere in the US, that's why US companies are relocating overseas !!
US corporations are not willing to pay americans good wages or any benefits, that's why they prefer immigrants or illegals,it is way much cheaper than hiring a local worker
How are you going to replace the millions of retiring Baby Boomers if you can't rely on immigration? Without immigration, our population would shrink and there would not be enough taxpayers to support the aging Boomer population.
And that is why we have legal immigration and it is exactly why we need to raise our standards and not lower them.
The legal immigration process is very long and costly, that's why most immigrants choose other faster and cheaper ways
No that is why illegal immigrants who don't qualify choose to do it illegally. If they can't afford the process, how can they afford to move here? That is without becoming a burden upon our nation?

The process is expensive even for the average American who has a job,if the immigrant is already wealthy ,why does he have to move to the US ? No,most immigrant, start by beeing a burden to everyone until they straighten their situation !!
It's not an issue, there is a difference between an immigrant and a refugee, their statut and conditions are different,no comparison between the 2.

Maybe for our country, but many countries make sure that they protect themselves from adding a burden upon themselves.
The issue is we shouldn't be adding to our burden when we can't afford to take care of our own the way it is. We don't owe any foreigner anything, but as a nation we do owe it to our own who are in need.
How do we justify taking in 185,000 refugees when we have 150,000 homeless vets?
