As for their willful ignorance, I doubt that through the arduous and lengthy process of debates, incessant phone calls, campaign appearances, and speeches provided by John McCain, Mitt Romney and Barak Obama that the electorate was not fully informed of their beliefs and policy prescriptions, as a result I would have to say no to the accusation that they were willfully ignorant. Being fully apprised of their choices the electorate willfully chose Obama over both McCain and Romney.

And I have to say that unlike "sovereign" citizens in general and this self-appointed judge in particular, the electorate had a firmer grasp of the Constitution and how the Constitution sets forth the process for electing the President of the United States.

You don't think that Judge Anna Maria Riezinger was properly vetted

Evidently you don't understand arduous and grueling Sovereign Citizen selection process.

Well, it did indeed perk people up! You have to admit it's a noticeable departure from the usual stuff.

But most Americans just can't get that worked up about federal land management policy.

Well on that point I plead to being willfully, and comfortably I might add, ignorant.

Yes, I guess you're right - it did! Although law enforcement & the courts have been aware of the movement for at least 20 years.

Especially since Oregon BLM is touted as an example of how it should be done. They seem to have a good record of working with the ranchers, the conservationists, and the Native Tribes in regards to the use of federal land.

Looks like the hold-outs dithered for to long - now all four have indictments.

4 Holdout Occupiers at Oregon Wildlife Refuge Are Indicted - ABC News

Brilliant legal minds.

One of the holdouts - Sean Anderson already had a warrant out for his arrest in Wisconsin. He was wanted for resisting arrest, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. He also has quite a lengthy criminal history. One of the others is a grown man that still lives with his parents. Almost without exception, these sovereign citizen idiots are just losers that can't manage to keep their own sheet together.

The Department of Interior held it up as an example of cooperation and planning between all the groups you mentioned. Maybe that is why they picked this particular area, they don't want compromise and they have succeeded in dividing the community to a great extent.

On one hand I am rather surprised by these personal histories but when I think about it, I should be surprised at all. While there isn't a specific profile of violent extremist whether they are sovereign citizens or Muslim jihadist bit in the most general sense they are the disaffected, looking to be a part of something larger than themselves, and in which they can experience as psychologist Jocelyn Belanger put it a see their actions as a "highway to significance."
