Radical Islam Meets Free Speech - Minutemen News
I don't see much difference between fundamentalist and extreme evangelist forms of Christianity in America. We just have the structures (hopefully) to repel some of the worst stuff. Obviously the extremists need to be stopped but I'm not going to single out Islam as bad. Really all religions are in their fundamentalist forms.

agree. some very small number of people think we need to nuke half the world...

but making bad arguments when talking to that small number of people is no better.

What would work is for everyone that opposes radicalization to stand together and demand modernity. Islam needs reformation. unfortunately those of us who aren't muslim cant get on the same page.

some of us are trying really hard to explain what the goals and intent of islam are in the real world, and some of us are burying our heads in the sand while screaming "CRUSADES" without even understanding what the crusades were.

Pew is a good start.

they do a good job of hiding the details by breaking it down by country without combining the actual numbers but there are a couple points that one should consider
Muslim Beliefs About Sharia | Pew Research Center

1. Pretty close to half of all muslims believe that sharia should be the law of the land, and should apply to everyone, not just muslimes.
2. pretty close to 10% of all muslims believe that suicide bombings are "sometimes or often" justified.
3. near 60% of muslims believe stoning is appropriate punishment for adultery
Please note, that in Sharia, if a woman is raped but cannot find 4 male trustworthy witnesses, she has committed adultery.
4. at least 40% if not more Muslims believe that DEATH is the appropriate punishment for a muslim who converts to another religion.
5. somewhere between 30% and 50% of muslims believe Honor Killing is justified. (note that more believe women should be killed than believe men should be.)
6. MOST muslims believe that women should always obey their husbands.
all of these points are directly from the Pew researched linked above.

According to Pew, there are 1.6 billion muslims in the world.

depending on how you look at "radicalized" the number might be as low as 75 million who are actively involved in radical violence in the name of islam, or if you look at perspectives that are vastly outside of what the west considers mainstream, it is above 500 million.

200 million represents those involved in violence and those who clearly support the concepts of the use of violence against non-muslims, and/or forcing non-muslims to live by sharia law. Its a conservative estimate.

Sounds like more than 200 million. There are probably not that many actual Radicals, but if you include their fellow Muslim sympathizers it's well over 200 million.

YES! IT IS!

Your understanding of the Constitution is sadly lacking. Freedom of religion does not exist without freedom from religion. But all you La-Z-Boy Crusaders are perfectly free to hop on your horses and ride off on your quests.
You know what, Mr. Burdell? I think you need to take a Constitution course. I did. Now go pound salt.

Notice how BLM protestors are using the clinched fist, why is this?

This explains why dictators and bad leaders need to be killed off.

ISIS is the creation of western nations that have butted their guns into ME affairs for decades.

Each new terrorist group is stronger and more powerful than the last.

Iraq was a better country under Saddam.
Libya was a better country under Ghadaffi.
Egypt was a better country under Mubarak.

Ultimately, ISIS is the latest iteration of Radicals starting with the murdering Slaver who started the religion. It's been violently expanding out of the middle East for 1400 years now.

It's kind of hard to say Islam is peaceful when the creator of the religion makes Jim Jones and David Karesh look like peaceful hippies.

from the "past is prologue" file....

The quotation "Those that refuse to learn the lessons of history are doomed to repeat its failures" plays out quite clearly where ISIS is concerned.

ISIS exists almost EXACTLY for the same reasons the NAZIs rose to power.

At the end of WW1 the victorious allied powers crippled Germany and left its people desperate. Then they did nothing to protect the innocent. from the ashes rose the radicals.

When Mr. Obama decided to pull out of Iraq, he did exactly the same thing. he left the desperate in the hands of the radicals.

it is interesting that the allies sought to appease the nazi radicals to avoid war. it didn't work out.
we now see the Progressives appeasing and downplaying even the existence of the modern radicals. (JV team and all that)

Liberals will continue to ignore all the bombings, head choppings, and killings. They will choose to believe that only "a small percentage of Islam" is radical. Obama believes this, but of course he is a muslim. There are none so blind as they that will not see. Our blinders will result in a future nation called The United States of Islam.
