Follow the money. Exxon is not going to foot the bill for any climate change legislation, you will. The need for fossil fuels is not going away and the only viable replacement for coal is natural gas, a product Exxon is heavily involved in. They are looking at their bottom line because knocking coal out of the market with laws allows them to sell more of their product at a substantial price.

This is why Chesapeake Gas was funneling 10's of millions to the Sierra Club.

Fractured Lives - July/August 2012- Sierra Magazine - Sierra Club

From 2007 to 2010, the Sierra Club's Beyond Coal campaign accepted more than $26 million from Chesapeake Energy, one of the country's largest natural gas producers. When new executive director Michael Brune learned of the donation in 2010, he turned away an additional $30 million that Chesapeake had promised and ended the Club's relationship with the company. Sierra editors spoke with Brune to clarify the Club's position on natural gas.

If you believe something with data, say it. Words are wind, to use g.o.t. References.

I meant it literally. Try quoting your own post with the strawman image. The image doesn't show because it's an attachment.

Just google strawman images. It's the silliest one.

I post from my phone so if it didn't upload, that's Apple.

Not the same at all. I see you still haven't read the AMS article.

There are literally tens of thousands of research papers published in science Journals discussing global warming. It's discussed at every earth sciences conference. It's taught at universities. Every major science organization worldwide has made a statement about global warming and climate change. How is it possible that you are not aware of this? Didn't you claim to have written a 'college paper' recently on global warming?

The media are still often misrepresenting the published science about global warming and climate change. That's where a lot of strawmen claims seem to come from, as well as industry funded 'think tanks'.

Of course the media response is not the reason...The overwhelming evidence for global warming is the reason for the consensus.
