There already is a background check for guns bought at gun shows.

Love how the libs are trying to spin the Orlando attack into anything but what it was; an Islamic terror attack.

The Republican amendment would have flagged the purchases and LE could of blocked it for up to 72 hours and permanently with a court order. It went back five years whether you were removed or not. I'm not clear on this but I don't think Feinsteins amendment would have because you had to be on the list.

It's unlikely either of these bills would have prevented something from happening unless he was arrested on the spot when he tried to purchase them.

The collective cannot take liberty from the Constitution, without bloodshed.

It is the side deals taking place, between patrons at the shows..... Well within the Constitution.
The only way anyone can even think about banning private gun sale, is a 100% gun registry, for every gun in existence, with ballistics data.

Do we want to go there? That is the slippery slope that places us fully in bondage to government. The Constitution will be art, when that happens.

Proof at gun shows - some guns just sold no questions. It was undercover report! I am against all gun shows for many reasons. But we know these are bought and paid law makers, nothing new.

There will be future violence and deaths regardless of what new gun laws are passed.

If anyone cared about saving lives, we can go back to the national 55MPH speed limit.
It's only common sense, right?

Also, it is unlikely that the new laws would save any lives.

If they treated cars like guns, the government would have mandated long ago, no car can go over 10 mph, to prevent DWI deaths.

illegal guns are sold all the time at garage sales, new laws won't change that. Most people that do that don't even know it's a law.

Shall we throw gramps in jail?
