Are you smiling for all the future violence or all the future death?

Wrong. The majority of gun owners want the government to be tough on criminals not tough on law abiding citizens.

Your fee to move to a country with less freedoms and more "safety".

So they can't fly on the nation's airlines, but they can go and buy an assault rifle. Great thinking.
On is a constitutional right and the other is not. Since you must have been educated in another country, you may consider learning about our constitution.

I'm a Republican. I would like to see clip/magazine fed automatic weapons, both long and short barreled, removed from stores and gun shows. They can save all that money on background checks and watch lists, and let people buy the things that will actually allow people to protect themselves and hunt legal game. Like ducks. Deer. Squirrels.
Once the rest of the world, including our police and military, go to single shot guns, I may consider doing the same. Well, assuming someone can invent a device that remotely vaporizes any other gun that isn't single shot.

I'm assuming that you want speech on the Internet regulated in order to keep people from becoming radicalized, researching bombs or stirring up others who might do something violent. And, of course, allowing the police to secretly hide cameras in people's homes wouldn't hurt either.

If you purchase a gun from a vendor at a gun show, you must go through the background check.

BTW, there are no little green men on Mars either.

That's not how it works. The government is saying you are guilty and we are going to restrict your rights. If you disagree you can appeal that.

To get on the list you don't even have to do anything illegal. There is no way this would have held up in the courts.

.......

.

The most recent poll I could find, CNN/ORC Poll June 16-19/2016

55 % of Americans favor stricter gun control laws

54 % favor a ban on the manufacture, sale and possession of semi-automatic assault guns, such as the AK-47.

72 hours to drop everything and PROVE the buyer is a serious risk. In absence of a crime, how do you prove anything.

It's not clear if being questioned by the FBI is the same as being on The Watch List is the same as The No Fly List. Media uses terms interchangeably.

Neither proposal would have prevented most of the spectacular mass shootings. Charleston may have been the exception.

Certainly not Sacramento, Virginia Tech, Oregon or Sandy Hook.

Politicians are suppose to compromise..but since BO got elected..that word was refused to be uttered by any Republican..and when John Boehner simply refused to utter that word post 2010 election and took over as House Speaker actually exposed what GOPer's were all about..Block/blame/refuse/cause Government shutdowns/The list is actually endless...

I am actually surprised.US was actually able to climb out of that DITCH he was left in back in 2009!! Business/high end rollers are profiting/Jobs ( tho lower end types majority) It's disgraceful really that BO was actually contained to the tenth degree..YET at least USA didn't suffer like other Countries..who used austerity measures..and then after 3-4 years..altered that because AUSTERITY does not work!!

BTW~~ Republican Congress caused implementation of all those major cutbacks due to inability to negotiate budget..and yet they have the nerve to blame BO..It's disgusting as I watched it..but selective memory actual enable some to BLAME BO for that..

GOP wants power..but it's been used to demonize and block any movement on everything..I'm afraid these folks have set a president they will regret..and Yes the past 7.5 years has Produced Heir Trumphft ..THAT's on GOP Congress 100%

Never never ever compromise our rights.

You really need to use logic and not emotions. If you did, you'd probably notice that the survey doesn't show how gun owners voted.
