I went to the gun range today to shoot and while I was waiting to get a slot, I observed dozens of people buying guns. The store was packed. I overheard two different couples tell the clerk they were buying their first gun.
The NRA is just an organization. People will not give up their legal weapons.
"The reports from Minnesota are troubling and must be thoroughly investigated. In the meantime, it is important for the NRA not to comment while the investigation is ongoing. Rest assured, the NRA will have more to say once all the facts are known."
Everything coming out of that case has been one sided. The media has whipped people into a frenzy over conjecture.
This does prove a larger point. The detachment of the people and those who run things. We see this in many instances.
The people by and large are not against each other. It's those with a financial interest trying to put a wedge between people. I fully support ones 2nd Amendment rights but the NRA has put itself into a very difficult position here. They lose either way and I kinda like when that happens.
That is a general position. I've supported Sanders but I've noted where he has done this to himself also. It happens when people put their politics above their principles. I do enjoy it when it comes back to bite them, support of them in the past or not.
Has it been proven that he had a license to carry a gun yet?
Yes. Now the NRA is in a difficult position because to be principled here they should condemn the actions of the Sheriff in trying to wrongly paint this guy as maybe not really telling the truth. He knew he was.
Has it been proven by confirmation from a police department that he had a license to carry a gun yet?
Why are you so quick to doubt it... I guess to you, its not suitable for a black person to have a license to carry. You'd not pose this question if the victim was white...!!!! Geez!!!!

The 217,000 names of people who have permits to carry is not public information. Therefore, it is not in fact known if Castile really did have a permit. Public Safety Commissioner Mona Dohman would not confirm that information because it is part of the official investigation.
Why does it matter? It shows the desire of the local police force to try and paint him in a negative light even though he had done nothing wrong outside of having a "wide set nose".
See how easy that is? He should have NEVER been stopped in the first place.
Now, just because you do not have a permit from one county does that mean you do not have a permit?
I wondered what the symbol or chant would be for this case. You've hit on it --- 'Wide-set nose, Wide set nose.' It doesn't have quite the ring to it as Skittles & hoodies, Hands Up, Don't Shoot, Rough Ride, but it'll do for now.
