Are you not able to distinguish between government services and government control?

There is no such thing as equality. I agree! However, there is such thing as a happy decent life with free time to enjoy the good things of life.

No one advocates absolute equality since that is impossible even in communism. Are you also assuming that socialism is the same as communism?
Once again, you choose to work. Nobody put a gun on you and force you to work. Conversely the the government or the people should not put a gun on the head of each business owner to force them accept less hours.

Either way, that's a freedom of choice and we have it here in USA too. You can feel free to choose less work hours or zero if you like.

What's a happy decent life? Parasites have a happy and decent life too.

Why don't these people in government just say they are socialists? Why do they have to hide? I think it's evil that people are purposely hiding their socialism.
Time to practice what you preach. No more medicare, social security and public roads and parks for you. Pay for everything. That means fully privatized everything.

What kind of argument is that? We already paid for those public roads, parks, SS and medicare. Unless you refund all the taxes we paid and have private options available, I don't see how that would work.

Whenever any person, group, or government has a fictional right to initiate force and impose their will upon any person, group, or government, no person is truly free. This is as true for "democracy" as it is for "socialism" as it is for "communism" as it is for any form of "government".

Actually - what you are doing is creating an all or nothing scenario - which is not what I am saying. You are showing that you don't know what you are talking about.

So let me try to define this again.

Socialism - government control of outcome, industry, media, internet

Capitalism - free markets, outcome varies, this does not imply an absence of government services... it does imply government does not control any aspect of free enterprise

CONTROL is the key term. If people want to vote themselves a huge safety net - fine. Government should not look to control what the doctors do, and what the hospitals and insurance companies do. If someone needs help - help. Let the business run themselves. Local/state government should also provide minimal regulations to protect the consumer. Government should not be involved in how a company keeps its paperwork or data.

Does this make sense? It's about government control - not fully privatized everything.

No you didnt. Privatize so you can pay the full cost of your use. Are you against privatization of everything? Practice what you preach. Full privatization or your arguments against a national health care system is hollow.

Why do you insist upon making up your own scenarios to try and win an argument instead of dealing with what we are telling you?

Capitalism is not full privatization of everything.
