Capitalism only makes money if the pay the worker less than his actual productivity. That is a form of slavery dude.

Not if you agree to it, dude.

Slaves have no say in how or what they are paid.

Wage slavery refers to a situation where a person's livelihood depends on wages or a salary, especially when the dependence is total and immediate.[1][2] It is a pejorative term used to draw an analogy between slavery and wage labor by focusing on similarities between owning and renting a person. Capitalism and Corporations have devised a new method of slavery under the guise of the free market system. We are led to believe that we live in a free economy, and have the right to choose both our profession and employer. If you examine how our economy really works, you will find that corporations in a capitalistic society are not very different from the slave owners of the earlier generations. The social level we are born into generally dictates our profession and opportunities for employment. In fact, I believe that corporate employment is no more than a new method of slavery that is even more profitable for the ruling class
Corporate Slavery

Quote:
I think the reason the original question compares working for corporations to slavery is that it many people feel like they're stuck working for corporations and feel like they have no way out.

Employment is voluntary - BUT - many people do manage to get themselves stuck and dependent on the paycheck.

So you say you are from a "socialist" country but are you sure it's not communist, because you after all did say they are one in the same and have no differences...

In socialism they pay the worker the same no matter what his actual productivity is.

You mean like the difference between a regular slave and an indenture servant (a voluntary form of slavery).

Dude, you have no choice but to rent your body to the employer. And your employer makes money out of your labor. If the employer paid your labor in full then the employer makes no money.

You say you agree to donate part of your productivity to the owner because you agree to it, but in reality you have no choice. At the end of the day you need to eat and put a roof over your head. At least regular slaves got free room and board. OTOH, you have to pay for your own.

Are you implying that in socialism you actually have a choice?

Socialism is as imperfect as capitalism because it is run by humans and by definitions humans are flawed. We are barbarians trying to make a living by exploiting others. There are folks with extreme greed and dishonesty in both sides of the equation.

BTW, for this era capitalism is the right tool. We are too primitive to work with in other systems.
