Rubio needs to mind his own business. The cost and hardship of raising a disabled child is staggering. I am the father of a disabled child. I love her with all my heart, but more than once I have wondered if we did the right thing by her. The world isn't caring or accepting. What happens when we are gone? That question keeps me up at night.
Rubio has no right to question a parents choice.

I have serious concerns with spending astronomical resources to keep a vegetable from dying while the living die because they cannot afford medical care.

I can only see the issue from the outside looking in. But I worked for many years with a woman who has a highly handicapped son. I have admired her commitment to making his life as normal as possible...although it cannot be very normal at all. But most of all I wonder what will happen to him when she is gone. I'm sure it is on her mind, as well.

Who will love your child as you do? Who will be compassionate as you are? It seems every month there is a story of a disabled child being abused and even killed. I can only hope that I out live her.

I can't believe he came up with such a stupid statement! A child born with microcephaly could cost society hundreds of thousands to a million to care for. If ever there was a need for abortion, this is it! Usually, people who oppose abortion are the first ones to decry large expenditures on social programs like Medicaid. Are these anti-abortion people willing to cough up the money to pay for the Zika babies?

Wow~~ You do not realize Euthanasia is considered illegal in most all circumstance/States..especially given an adults who desire it due to diagnosis..BUT How the He$$'s Be$$'s could you envision that as even an option??
Meanwhile..births a horrifically challenged infant..and bears that cost..and emotional anguish..and Yikes..No ones gives a cr@polla..as long as that bundle of cells get born!!

Politicians don't have to rely on Planned Parenthood..to don't give a Cr@p..and even tho NOT Taxpayer $$ go to Abortion Services does NOT stop their horrific infringement to their legal rights to services...

Nowadays, there are a lot less babies born with defects due to genetic testing! People who go for extensive genetic testing or counseling can elect in-vitro fertilization with embryos tested before implantation. That way, embryos with defects are eliminated from ever being born!
