40 Wall was not damaged on 9/11 because it is nearly a mile away from WTC. This did not however prevent Trump from asking for and receiving a handout from the 9/11 Fund earmarked for small businesses, below 14th street. Trump is among the many who had no damages and asked for and received grant money. Ford Motor, Dell, Bank of China and so on all received grants without having sustained damages.

The small corner pizza place that was destroyed got less, because money was handed out like candy due to intentionally lax state requirements to companies that had no business sticking their hand out.
I must walk really fast because I can get from WTC to 40 Wall in less than 10 minutes.

It's not almost a mile away, but it's definitely out of the neighborhood of the 20 or so buildings damaged on 9/11. There are lots of other buildings in between.

Didn't know its history, Thanks.

Have you seen the number of press organizations he has "banned" from traveling with him? This is only the warm up act. Could he handle the scrutiny of being leader of the free world? Of course not. He can't handle the warm up act.

Give Donald Trump a break? You gotta be kidding. What has he done to earn a break?

So you're complaining that the Democrats are distracting people from one issue, and the way you are complaining is to attempt to distract people from the topic of the thread.

The interviewer brought it up.

Was Trump supposed to put his fingers in his ears and sing "La, La, La,...I can't hear you!"?

And yet he has gone on numerous news shows such as chris matthews.....would you like to see the same style and arrogant chris matthews lay into hillary like he did trump?

Hell, it was 270 (I could be wrong on these days) days for hillary before she even started talking to the press....

Trump won't release his tax records and claims that his doctors were "amazed at how healthy he is" or some other drek that you'd expect a child to make up about a visit to the doctor. He's a raving egotistical nutjob with delusions of competence in a field he cannot begin to understand. I've heard him described as a "sociopath toddler" and that is perhaps the best description of his mindset and maturity that can be written.

Even setting aside his monumental ignorance, bigotry, and sleaze that still manages to outdo Clinton's - and that's before Trump has had access to national level secrets or power - it still amazes me that the regressive wackjobs on the far right are supporting this nut. Oh, sure - the bigotry plays well with them, as does the empty-headed "tough guy" stance, where we're to believe that Trump is somehow going to bully the world into obeying him, but what ever happened to the conservatives' supposed fear of corrupt government with way too much power? I suppose they really are too damn stupid or ignorant to see in Trump all the tell-tale signs of a dictator in the making: the utter inability to handle any criticism, the immediate use of attacks and force in response to the smallest slight, the steps taken to neutralize any dissent, and the most opaque presidential campaign in history.

But we're all to believe that electing a corrupt loon who's so crooked no sane person would let him watch their house for a month or chaperone their daughter to the prom will somehow work out well for us. Because I guess tyranny is better than the nebulous "socialism" regressives so fear (without understanding), and even though they also claim "government is the root of all evil and corruption," electing an already corrupt sociopath into office will somehow cure him and make him into a great leader. Yeah... sure!

Oh man, that was wonderful. Really well written, and steel on target. If only the low information deplorables could understand it.

Either way, well said.
