Every time mandated paid leave has been introduced by Democrats, the Republicans have blocked it. Trump is simply pandering; he couldn't care less about America's workers. In fact, in his entire life he's never done anything for anybody else. People who believe that Donald Trump gives a flip about the average American is living in a made-up world.

HR depts love facebook, they can see if a female candidate is married and has kids. From there they can make a fairly good guess to see if someone will get pregnant soon.

Paid leave sounds great and all, but I know HR people who are unofficially told
to look for potential future pregnant candidates. I think the financial part sucks for a company, but it is having a void that sucks.

Does Trump already do this at his places of employment?

He is pandering. If he is elected it will never happen.

I don't know about that, but it is just more proof that Trump has merely hijacked the Republican Party and is completely detached from and is ignorant of Conservative principles, as are his supporters, apparently...

You're right, it won't, because the REAL Republicans in Congress would never allow it.

The Irony is, if elected, I think Trump would have a much better chance of governing under a Democratic Congress.

Interesting twist, though it could create an incentive to discriminate against women in the workplace if it is not offered to men as well.
Hmm....government forcing employers to pay an additional 6 week vacation......how very liberal of him. Is he running for president of Sweden?

I'm in favor of it. Unfortunately neither Hillary or Trump has an ounce of credibility with me. None at all.
