Clinton has a real plan. 2/3 of salary, 12 weeks.
It's better than what happens now, which is low wage women would get no compensation at all.

Sorry I can't vote for this guy.. I have no idea how he stands on any issue because he panders to everyone and I suspect he's a closet liberals. Conservatives and libertarians really have no choice in this election.

I'm tired of rewarding women for pumping out kids.

My question would be........would this proposal apply to both full-time and part-time employees? Because with my employer, a full-time employee would be eligible for paid maternity leave (or they could use any paid vacation time they have saved up), whereas a part-time employee would have to take unpaid FMLA time.

Republican Candidate: "I'm going to help your new family settle in and make ends meet by offering paid maternity leave."

Republican voters: "This guy's a fake conservative because this proposal will help families. We're not used to this, Gaaahh, oppose him! This will not stand!"

So businesses or taxpayers have to pay women for having kids? What about those women that have about five or more kids?

Businesses and tax payers pay for a lot of stuff you don't like. When was the last time you were at a public library or took grandma to see her doctor?

LOL...are you kidding?

Republicans BARELY believe in a business paying a laborer AT ALL.

Sounds like common sense to me.
So no paid vacation either, huh? No Severance packages either?

Interesting twist, though it could create an incentive to discriminate against women in the workplace if it is not offered to men as well.
I got 6 weeks of paid maternity leave an long time ago. Actually I think it might have been 8. So why is this some new revelation. And if men can have babies then they absolutely should be treated the same lol
