I just heard about this yesterday and have since seen the two videos I mentioned. For all the comments about this being cut and dry and obviously going against the officer I figured maybe I was missing something.
The only thing you're missing is that he was black and she was white; therefore, you side with him.

You forget that his behavior was irrational. You forget that his hands go down. You forget that many important details are unknown. You pick a side. You either go with the cool hip crowd down with the cause and know you get points for always siding with the black person or you go with the lame racist crowd that want black people killed by police.

The last thing you ever do is say it's best to wait until the evidence is presented. There's no fun in that.

How about, "It's best to wait until a real threat is presented before shooting a person dead"? Or is there no fun in that?

When are they going start checking cops who might be on steroids....you know the gym rats who's minds might be effected by pharma product? Or worse what cops are on prescribed drugs for depression...which might effect a persons ability to show compassion - guilt and remorse?

Who decides what is a threat and what isn't?

Is a person only a threat when you can clearly see they have a gun aimed at you?

There have been many times a cop has fought with a person and has had their service pistol taken in that fight and used to kill them, so is a person advancing on a cop a threat?

I believe any employer, including a police department, has the right to randomly drug test employees. Do you agree?

In this case, it will be decided in a court of law. Or Officer Shelby will agree that she overreacted to avoid going to court.

She went deaf.......

Officer Betty Shelby on Terence Crutcher Shooting: “I Was Temporarily Deaf!”

Seems that perhaps she only realized this after getting arrested and charged herself. Maybe he was stressed?

So, the cops aren't given any guidance on threats unless they go to court?

YEP, here we go AGAIN making claims before the investigation has even started.

Didn't we have a story a short while ago about the same thing only to see a picture of the black guy in the car with a gun in his hand trying to hide it.

Didn't the woman with him claom the same thing?

I am NOT making any accusations.

Just wait to see what the investigation finds when it is completed BEFORE making ANY comments, one way or the other.
Now that the investigation is on going and there's more info, what say you???
