I don't care who's on money but if it's going to be faces of people I wish they were all attractive. Otherwise, some nice scenery or pretty colors would be my choice.
This is the one thing Obama did that MIGHT be classified as "genius".
He managed to get a whole country talking about a PICTURE on a note instead of the fact that his administration literally decimated the value of it. That takes skill.
"The police acted stupidly" - ended up being wrong
"If I had a son he would look like treyvon" Court ruled it was self defense
"When I walk past cars people lock their doors" boo hoo the PRESIDENT is so oppressed
"They ganna put yall back in chains" - vice president
There's more. The point is he shoots his mouth off before even knowing what the facts are. We are having freaking race riots every other month for crying out loud. People are getting hurt, businesses destroyed, but yet he says NOTHING about that. A leader is supposed to bring people together. I've never witnessed such divisiveness in my life.
With regard to race relations, his presidency was a complete failure. No doubt we are worse off than we were when he took office.
Then you have the subtle things like this $20 Tubman that just gets everybody all stirred up for no reason really. What purpose does removing jackson from the 20 benefit our country?
So let me guess, black people are suppposed to just stay in their place?
Listen,it aint 1920 and the black people that are here now wont just lie down and stay in their place.
Exactly. She did some good deeds, but didn't really add any lasting change to the country. She was an abolishionist, but so were thousands of other people. Rosa Parks was more influential than Tubman in the big scheme of things.
What's really BS about the whole thing was that it was supposed to be Hamilton that was supposed to be replaced as the $10 bill is next up for a refresh. They decided on Jackson because of a write in campaign by new found Hamilton fans because of the stupid play. So it basically came down to pop culture. The switch up is costing US tax payers extra due to the rush order to get Tubman on there ASAP.
I've heard a lot of people say that the proposed Harriet Tubman bill reminds them of a box of pancake mix.
Why is that an ugly bill, because she's black, because she's a woman, or both?
Because it's a terrible picture.
I'm sure she would prefer the bill I posted in this thread.
