There is no evidence in the "secret CIA report" that Russia hacked voting machines, nor have they had any contact with the Trump campaign.

The only thing Russia was guilty of was hacking the DNC emails and exposing their corruption.

That is what the CIA has verified so far. This may be the tip of the iceberg a full investigation should be done.

The extent of the hack by the Russians hasn't been determined yet.

Wow very irresponsible journalism and a headline hit piece by the Washington Post.

If I were Trump, i'd revoke the press pass of both the NYTs and WaPo for the next four years and only grant access to FOX, and a few others. This is absolutely ridiculous.

the use of "help" in the title of the headline insinuates a collaborative effort by two parties or more to attain a common objective, when that is not what happened at all. They're creating an air of dark conspiracy of the Kremlin attempting to overtake the US election--as if Hillary didn't lose on her own merits.

The Democrats are already in utter denial because of this nonsense about the "popular vote" having declared Hillary the real victor, then they had this sham about some alleged emergency recount" and now add that this to some alleged Russian involvement of "interference" with these types of headlines and it'll create a partisan of insanity within them that we've never seen before.

The only thing I can see that Russia may have done, is that they leaked the emails of the corruption within the CLinton campaign and the DNC showing that she was going to be the nominee making the entire cycle a sham--nothing more, nothing less.

The information that they went public with was irrefutable. If it cast doubts in people's minds...so be it.

And to be fair, nearly every media outlet right here in the US made up "junk news" and fake stories about Trump in an attempt to get Hillary elected--only it didn't work.

ALL in ALL, at the end of the day, there was never any evidence that they rigged the voting process in anyway. Every intelligence agency agreed to that...so I don't see what the story is.

Trump is appointing four generals to oversee various foreign and domestic security posts, including Flynn who leaked the 2012 DIA report critical of the CIA in Syria and whom the media seems to be targeting now for removal from consideration. There are also several oil industry executives appointed who might want to see a more business-friendly foreign policy approach to Russia and Iran. The State/CIA has made several major blunders and would rather continue to suck in the military to fix their mistakes.

The government released an earlier statement yesterday confirming that the election wasn't hacked.

If the Russians obtained documents damaging to the Clinton campaign, it's really no different than what saw carried out against Trump with the negative stories in the press. It appears that the media is in a similar position as with the Snowden leaks. If the information is made public, they have to report it.

We don't re-vote.

We do note the Trump mandate is from the Russians and Comey.

And it also appears that the Russians hacked the RNC but did not release that data...holding it as black mail?

Trump won the election, not going to disagree. But it is terribly short sighted and unwise to just dismiss the Russian attempt to interfere in our election.

In the short run Putin may be happy to see Trump in the White House; however, in the long-run the Russians could be up to do much worse. And to be sure, Republican elected officials could end up the target next time.

All Americans should concerned about this. Can we take off our p-h-u-c-k-I-n-g partisan hats off for a second. It used to be that politics stopped at the water's edge.
Exactly. I think we will here more of this in the coming days and all of this was briefed to Congress back in September and they are aware. It's not fake. No one is saying that they messed with votes or that Trump should not have won. There is evidence that Russia tried to influence the election through cyber attacks. This is very disconcerting. Everyone should be concerned no matter what the outcome is of the election. Instead of crying about Democrats and sore losers and partisanship over the election, your "righties" need to look in the mirror over your partisanship remarks and put your pride/egos aside over winning and be concerned about cyber security and the beginnings of what amounts to cyber "war" against our democracy and it's system.

What "help" do YOU envision Russia provided by reading that story?

I guess he knows not only more than the military but also the CIA. I guess we can look forward to him working with the CIA and other intelligence agencies that he is criticizing. Honestly, a foreign power attempted to influence our election and his response is they must be wrong.

It wouldn't surprise if Russia was behind it and it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest that the CIA was behind the leaks. And it may be for good reasons that goes beyond what ordinary folks assume or even think they know.

Sure. But it would be ahistorical to stop the investigation with this election.

In fact, a Senator named Joseph McCarthy had raised the alarm in regard to Russian spying and interference roughly 63 years ago.

He was ostracized but with the later outing of several deeply embedded spy networks, such as the Silvermaster spy ring, his thesis proved to be true.

However, McCarthy had become the center of the national outrage, thanks to the MSM, and not the spy networks and so the truth of his assertions was buried and the political will to further investigate Russian spy networks and their intended effects was strangled.

I believe that this renewed interest inn Russian interference, on the part of democrats, gives the nation a mandate to reopen the McCarthy investigations as well as to investigate the later effects of Communist interference, social engineering, and subversion in the United States government and social movements.

We can begin by declassifying FBI an CIA files on the civil rights movement, the social revolution of the 1960s, and every politician to hold office since World War I.

We can end with declassifying every CIA and FBI file on current politicians, political organizations, NGOs, and wealthy donors. Of course, this will include the ACLU, the SPLC, the ADL, the NAACP, Martin Luther King, the various American Communist and socialist parties, the politicians who are linked to all of the above groups, academics and universities linked to the above groups, as well as Hillary Clinton and the Clinton Foundation.

If you want to research Russia, then let's research Russia and its ideological links in the USA.

Make no mistake. This is where this myopic line of assault leads. Be ready for it.

Alternatively, perhaps snap your mouths shut with your short sighted and unsupported, yet socially destabilizing political agitation and take your medicine.
