It is really interesting to see so many counties immigration laws and compare them with americas porous borders , from mexico to europe to asia and all over the world, many nations are cracking down on illegal immigration or never allowed much of it in the first place

"In Monday's Talking Points Memo, Bill O'Reilly responded to plans by the Obama administration to accept about 2,000 people who had illegally immigrated to Australia, but were deported by the government and sent to a remote area of the South Pacific.

Australia believes illegal immigrants will destabilize their country, and the nation's military is in charge of immigration, O'Reilly said.

But, in the United States, anti-illegal immigration advocates are seen as not being compassionate to refugees.

"Liberal zealotry sees America as a nation driven by white privilege and wants to flood the USA with new citizens," he noted, and laid out what a fair policy might be for the incoming Trump administration to consider.

O'Reilly wondered why there is no condemnation of Australia's tough policies on illegal immigration and asylum-seekers, noting that both liberals and conservatives there support the policies with "little moral debate."

He explained that if a city in Australia declared itself a "sanctuary" for those in the country illegally, it would have "big trouble" with the military, which enforces the law. "

I look at it this way. Australia is sufficiently leftist, progressive and only leftist are now allowed to restrict immigration. That's why I blame them 100% for the overpopulation and dystopian immigration policy. The left globalized and increased immigration in 1965 and supported more increases like in 1990 and fight tooth and nail for it even more so today. Like smokey the bear, only a liberal can prevent immigration.

I wouldnt say its only the left though, when Reagan took office in 1980 , America was 80% white. Now its around 63%, a massive demographic change during the so called "conservative revolution" the George W. Bush presidency was pretty awful for a surge illegal immigration as well

Conservatives and republicans have done a very poor job of protecting the border as well. We really need a third party in this country, lets see what trump can do but the republican elites, Ryan, McConnell, McCain etc are not allies at all.

True, but the left pushed for the 1986 amnesty act. And the increase in 1990 was under globalist Bush the elder not Reagan. The changing demographics was a lag and ties back to the 1965 Immigration Act pushed by liberals. It's not just liberals but they have always pushed it and will not let Republicans do anything about immigration. It's their baby.

The democrats need to change demographics and need more illegal immigration to get elected and I absolutely agree ted kennedys 1965 bill is one of the worst things that ever happened to america. I am just as angry at republicans though, W. was awful on illegal immigration and protecting our borders as well, remember him lecturing and condemning kerry for the "profiling" of arabs in airports right before 9/11.

How George W. Bush’s war on airport profiling of Arabs contributed to 9/11 - The Unz Review

I just think its crazy that "progressive" countries like Australia and in Europe etc do a better job of protecting their borders than so called "conservatives" in America

Many Australians condemn their own government for the immigration policies. When I lived in Australia a few years ago, I heard many an Australian leftist refer to the government's immigration policy (which I think is a smart policy) as "racist," etc. And Australia's policy has been condemned by the UN, too: Australia's asylum seeker policies heavily criticised at UN Human Rights Council review - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)

Autrailian kmmigration policy isnt much different than Norway's or Denmark's. You can't have socialism and embrace unlimited immigration at the same time otherwise it will collapse. Somebody has to be paying into the system.

True. It really shows the mediocrity of the american left, they will worry about the "rights" of illegals breaking the law while stuff like clean efficient mass transit, good infrastructure and public schools, nice cities, etc is awful. I remember visiting denmark and the mass transit is amazing, from the minute you land the airport and train system fantastic, amazing cycling culture.

Compare that to multicultural cities like LA, NYC, and San Francisco where the mass transit is awful, huge disparities between rich and poor. Getting on a bus or train can be easily populated by thugs , amazing how poor public services and infrastructure is in cities like san fran and manhattan with 3,000+ rents .From the minute you land at laguardia its depressing, no trains, old and dirty

Japan has some of the toughest immigration laws and very difficult to obtain citizenship. The US hands out citizenship like free samples. 1st come 1st serve.

Yup I've pointed that out before and Japan is a great country. Why aren't lefties in the US proclaiming Japan, Denmark, Australia, and tons of other countries in Asia and Europe to be a bunch of racists?

How would the US doing exactly what they do, make us racist, but not them? Some of these countries are the SAME countries that liberals want the US to be like.

Lefties? <crickets>

It's amazing how people on the left can never answer these simple questions. They're truly a lost group of people.
