Any major that ends in "studies" makes you completely unemployable. Universities should be ashamed for propping up these failed departments. They should be immediately disbanded or else the state should cease to fund the university.

Obviously a gross generalization. Liberal studies get jobs, it is actually not uncommon for lawyers to have degrees in various "studies".
And while this is likely a discussion for another thread, the purpose of college is not job training, that is vocational school (which should be brought back with out the stigma). College if for pursuing learning, many liberal studies students go on to jobs just fine.
You mean your white neighbors? Most of the people on welfare are white.
Out of 100 people of a "race": more Blacks and more Latinos are on welfare than anglo white people. It's just there are 6 times more anglos here in the US compared to the 1st 2 groups.
It isn't a required course, it is for a very specific major, and there are certainly other niche classes out there.
Do you really think white people don't have a perspective influenced by being the majority? I do. As a white woman, who was a minority in one of the countries she lived in, I totally think my perspective is influenced by such. And whats worse is I never realized it until I lived in a country where whites are not the majority. And to be honest, only white people have the luxury of saying "race is irrelevant". Well yes, to the majority race is always irrelevant.
True, they are also disproportionately more likely to be poor, get the death penalty for similar crimes, and a whole bunch of other things.
I think where we are going to disagree is whether or not race is the causal factor there.
Blacks of recent African heritage are the MOST successful group here in the US, regardless of race. So that knocks racism out as the main reason some American Black people are hood rats.
