I feel that we get a complaint now and then with nothing ever done to change it.

As posted many state take over land for roads and public interest programs.

Eminent domain definition is the power of the government to take private property and convert it into public use. The Fifth Amendment provides that the government may only exercise this power if they provide just compensation to the property owners.

What does that have to do with Civil Forfeiture?

The point is under such acts like the Rico Act the Gov can take away property and or seize assets under certain circumstances.

While true at least in ED or Inverse Condemnation you get paid and you can sue for more money. In Civil forfeiture it is just taken from you.

Civil forfeiture is a disgrace and an abuse of government power. If Sessions supports it he is wrong and believes in giving government excessive power.

Read it at 6 this morning. In their case, probably not. In the case we did here, admittedly several years ago, the owner had several chances to clean up her act but continued to rent to individuals who were involved in street level pharmaceutical retailing. As I said, it only had to happen once.

Anyone who cares about civil liberties in this country should hope that Sessions' nomination for Attorney General is struck down.
George Will also said...
  • Trump isn't a real candidate.
  • Trump will never be nominated by the GOP
  • Trump will not score enough delegates.
  • Trump will not win Super Tuesday
  • Trump will not be President of the USA
Why is anyone paying him any mind and for that matter still reading WaPo?

So Waldo you think civil forfeiture is good policy and not an excessive use of government power?

Topic isn't about me.

George Will simply makes yet another strawman argument about Trump then seeks to burn it. It's his opinion. And as I demonstrated, his opinion is worth less than 0.

However if the deranged are now to the point of taking council from George Will, I won't stand in their way. They listened to WaPo for a year, believed Hillary would win, then were shocked when it turned out not to be true.

This speaks for itself.
