No group should be made to bend over backwards to meet the needs of an infinitely small number of confused people.
The thing is that accommodating the needs of the child in the OP requires no bending over backwards. All that is needed is for someone to say, "Come on, you are welcome here."
Unless you were in the middle of a desert I see no reason that some privacy could not have been provided.
Male and female sexes are biological.
Male and female genders are also biological.
Lack of congruence between the two does not make transgender male or female gender no longer biological.
You can not have it both ways. Either gender is a social construct that is independent of biological traits or it is simply a product of biology and therefore is predetermined regardless of individual perception. If the former is the case the entire debate that has been held in this thread is settled - male sex and gender are both based on chromosomes and genitalia, as is true for females. What's to debate any longer? You have a Y chromosome? According to what you have written above that makes you a male, period.
A transgender female will never be a biological female. They may end up having the phenotype of a female, be stalked a female, and live as a female but no matter how much we can alter appearances we still haven't figured out yet how to scramble DNA strands to suit our preferences, so their genotype will always make them a male since they have a Y chromosome.

It doesn't have to be true that gender is either entirely biological or entirely social. It's almost certainly a combination of both.
The term gender can certainly be co-opted, twisted , and redefined to mean something other than your biological sex. But male and female are biological traits not subject to reinterpretation . In the human species, females have the equipment to produce eggs , get pregnant, carry a fetus to term, deliver a baby , and nurse said baby , whether that equipment works properly or not, and regardless of if they choose to use the equipment for that purpose or not . Males are the ones who produce sperm and impregnate females .
It is becoming apparent that the redefinition of gender will cause society to segregate the appropriate facilities for each along lines of male/female rather than men/ women to deal with the stupidity of progressivism .

Not really . First, they are a private org so they are free to do as they please . But there is more to accommodating a biological female than simply saying " come on in". I was in Scouts . Scouts bunk up together on camp outs, sometimes just 2 to a tent, sometimes more . Scouts swim. Scouts go to the bathroom in the woods . All of this typically involves a certain amount of nudity . I'm thinking of the image of 5 Scouts out on a hike that stop to pee, with 4 standing in a row peeing off the edge of a train trestle while the transgendered "boy " is squatting peeing from "his" vagina . Doesn't really work . There ARE differences, whether you wish to acknowledge them or not . Delusion on your part does not alter reality, it just makes it difficult for those in reality to deal with your delusions . And you can say that it only requires a small change to protect the transgendered and the Boy Scouts from each other in these situations, but the point is they don't need to . They are Boy Scouts , not Transgendered Scouts .
If they choose to do so, then fine . That would be their right . They would lose some kids , but maybe it would work out for them . But the choice is theirs to choose to accommodate the transgendered , not for the transgendered to insist the Boy Scouts must change to accommodate them .

there are way too many potential issues introducing something like this. Scout leaders are volunteers - they're dads - they shouldnt have to deal with the myriad of potential problems that would be introduced by allowing females into scouts.

Why would a girl openly masquerading as a boy be welcomed into a Boy Scout troop, a membership reserved for and exclusively for boys, and it be expected that everyone pretend she's a boy? To accommodate her delusions and feelings about being born with girl parts?
