BSA adheres to Leave No Trace principles when backcountry hiking today. That means packing out personal waste, so Scouts no longer dig temporary pit latrines. In established camps, there are separate facilities for males and females, because BSA camps are open to co-ed Venture Scout crews and female staff members. Just thought you'd like to know. As an adult female Scout leader, I have backpacked quite a bit with Boy Scout troops. Thanks for your concern, but we know how to handle the situation.

Every single discussion and definition surrounding transgenderism includes a mismatch between biological sex and perceived gender. The argument is that a person should not be assigned a gender based on just their biological sex. I'm sorry, but no, that really is the bridge too far for logical leaping.

Male and female sexes are biological.
Male and female genders are also biological.
Lack of congruence between the two does not make transgender male or female gender no longer biological.
