After the change though. I believe the man will need constant hormone replacement therapy since he will be missing his testies.
This is not a new issue for jails or prisons, if a trans person still has their man parts they are housed with men. Clearly they are going to be subjected to harassment and abuse so they need to be protected and the facility has to do so in a way that they are not placed in solitary which is usually reserved for short term confinement
Why have separate women's prisons at all then? Just house them with men. You don't find this appalling?

They might be factoring in the costs of having guards in the hospital, they chain inmates to the bed and have a correctional officer in the room 24/7, it's more expensive than you would think
Take a deep breath...The California prison system and the state attorney general fought this for years. A federal judge ordered them to provide the surgery
Many of the outraged posters here could calm their nerves if they just got the facts. Unfortunately it is easier to just fume and blame all us hell bound liberals in California. Post after post is like this here. Knowledge is power but there ain't much power around these parts!!!
