This is what Republicans in Congress do. They moan and groan and label any Democrat spending as 'socialism', but when the GOP is in power, they can't spend money fast enough.
Donald Trump has proven in his personal business dealings to be reckless and incapable of living within his means, and you mingle that with an entitled congress, and we're soon going to remember Barack Obama as a spend thrift.
Guys a conservative and Trump voter, the guy does have a point. I mean why on earth is there not a balanced budget proposal when the Republicans own the Senate?
You didn't seem to mind the debt when it was the dems running it up.
You dems also want "free" healthcare, and "free" college that would run up trillions of additional debt.
Actual good investments in our nations future, with huge payoffs, and spending to pull a country out of a crash are usually viewed as good things.
Know what isn't? Not then paying that debt down during the good times. And the Republicans are doing it again. Naturally when they bork it all up they will end up handing it to the Democrats to fix, while trying to block it all, and then later cry about it. This is why we are so very very f*****

Because the dems won't even allow the repeal of the disastrous Obamacare.
Now imagine cutting a trillion dollars from the budget.

Govt doesn't invest. It steals from Peter and gives to Paul.

A meaningless talking point. We went to the moon by investing in space exploration. In the process, stuff like satellites which has dramatically improved the lives of humanity saw daylight.
Maybe Trump can get that interchange and overpass in my town built that we so solely need.. I hope he spends it to expand our interstate capacity nationwide. Rebuild those roads and bridges (in a common sense manner.. like it or not some states like Wisconsin have too many paved roads that cost too much to maintain.. like other states, they should really make a large number of them gravel until we develop road technology that can better withstand the elements, namely freeze/thaw cycles in cold climates)
I don't care that Obama ran up the debt, and don't care if Trump does. Obama did some good with some of his infrastructure spending.. the interstates in MN, though they made some dumb calls by repaving many of the sections in asphalt instead of concrete, are MUCH better than they were before he came into office. They redid a bunch by me that didn't need it. South Dakota's interstates are some of the best I've personally driven on. They have had the common sense to use all concrete on everything they've redone, though.
