13 year old boys can't get pregnant. I thought it was generally accepted that older women/young men situations weren't a big deal.
People calling the woman a pedo should get their facts straight. Pedophilia is sexual attraction towards prepubescent children. 13yo is biologically an adult. While not morally sanctioned in our culture, there is nothing unnatural about that relationship.
A teacher in Texas will serve 10 years in prison for being with a student only eleven years younger than herself. Now that is sick.

That's your opinion and I wholly disagree. A 13 year old that has started puberty IS biologically an adult and that is fact. In many parts of the world most people would think nothing of it. The age of consent in Japan is 13. The Japanese are known to be smarter than Americans.

I speak from personal experience. I was an underaged male involved with an older woman. It was completely consensual, fun, and neither of us were hurt by what happened.

Its actually kind of a backwards logic if you think about it. Historically speaking, women have been thought to be weaker, less intelligent, softer than their male counterparts. Because of this stereotype, people will often go easier on women because they feel that (a) a woman couldn't possibly be as savage, perverse, hateful, etc as a man or (b) feel that women can't handle the rigors of prison.
This mindset towards female criminals is directly related to the patriarchal view of women as second class citizens who are not as tough or smart as men.

I speak from personal experience. I was underaged male involved with an older woman. It was completely consensual, fun, and neither of us were hurt by what happened.
I have children who are about the same age as the boy in question. NO WAY are these kids (and I'm including their friends in this statement) able to handle the emotional and physical ramifications of a sexual relationship with an adult. They are merely a few years removed from childhood. Their brains are not that of an adult and won't be for nearly another decade.
BTW, many children who've been sexually abused by adults often say they enjoyed the sexual contact of their predators and felt guilt about enjoying it. So maybe those adults shouldn't have been charged since their victims enjoyed it, eh?

If the relationship is consensual then there are no victims. Mary Kay Letourneau has been married to her "victim" for more than ten years now. Many "natural" marriages don't even last that long.
