Hitler can be a dictator because Nazi Germany was fairly uniform in their demographics and united. American public is already diverse, consists immigrant descendants from many parts of world living on a piece of stolen land from the native Americans. Many do not see Trump as a legitimate president in a divided nation. When Trump calls for wars overseas, he may have to send his own children to do the fighting (or send Alt-Rights), others may dodge draft like Trump himself did during Vietnam War. The nation is becoming more divided.
