This is a problem that needs to be addressed. The left has turned colleges and universities into indoctrination centers and refuse to even entertain beliefs other than their own.

Contrary to what you believe there is no concerted effort to instill liberal ideas on college campuses. Those ideas evolve naturally because universities are a place of higher learning. You see a bogeyman where none exists simply because you do not agree with anything outside your narrow right wing perspective. There is a whole world out there you know.

What are you so afraid of? That your kids will actually think beyond the narrow worldview that you've instilled in them and learn something new? That they will have opinions and ideas that differ from yours? At that stage they are adults, they're allowed. Or do you wish to "burn books" so to speak and have them remain ignorant?

Conservative views have historically been the driving factor in the stagnation of human culture. Take the stance of the Catholic church in the Middle Ages for example. They held science back for centuries. It isn't until the introduction of liberal ideas that humans have been able to break the shackles of their conservatively governed restrictive societies and advance human knowledge to achieve something greater.

This is the biggest load of BS i've read on this site. "liberal ideas evolve because they are generated in places of higher learning"? Give me a break!! The left is AFRAID of diversity of ideas and viewpoints and it's evidenced when they make every attempt to ban even people like Condolezza Rice from speaking!

I don't have a narrow worldview and I'm not a conservative. I'm an independent who voted for Hillary in the last election.

You talk about holding back science? how about the left's attempt to politicize the debate and the endless fearmongering with regards to climate change. Yes, the right is guilty of supressing and denying science as well but the left had treated this like DOGMA for decades now, hardly science.

Get your head out of the sand.

Every college usually has it's fair share of liberal, conservative, and to the middle professors and classes.

Depends on what course of study one follows.

Send your kids to Liberty University for their conservative indoctrination if that's what you want.

Liberal arts degrees are a total waste of money. Getting that message out to young people before it is too late is an ongoing challenge.

Depends on what you want to do with it. They can be a stepping stone to very lucrative careers. Of course, that typically comes with yet more education beyond a Bachelor's degree.

Now additional the kids safety is in danger as we all could see how safe Berkeley and NYU are.

It doesn't seem that much of that money went towards your education.

Frankly, I wouldn't give my kid a public school education in the US these days. In fact, I'd take a look at the top schools internationally and try to hire some of those foreign teachers who speak English to teach over here.

According to Pearson, the United States has a “cognitive skills and educational attainment” score of 0.39, which makes the United States rank fourteenth out of forty countries ranked in that category. The top ten countries (and their scores) are:

1.South Korea (1.30)
2.Japan (1.03)
3.Singapore (0.99)
4.Hong Kong (0.96)
5.Finland (0.92)
6.United Kingdom (0.67)
7.Canada (0.60)
8.Netherlands (0.58)
9.Ireland (0.51)
10.Poland (0.50)

We should trade protection for teachers. Let's get some English-speaking teachers from South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong and Finland and offer military protection in return. Heck, I'd pay for one to come over and homeschool my grade school kid if I actually had a kid. Maybe we could get some administrators, too, to run the US public schools.

You might notice below this list it says the US is ranked 24th in literacy.

Money is not indicative of success. Urban public schools have money thrown at them hand over fist and yet the vast majority of them perform poorly. Hillary outspent Donald by a wide margin on the election and lost.
