Some of these left wing schools charge $65,000 or more per year to get information from left wing biased radicals with a left agenda.

Who wants to pay for that or being left for years with a study loan debt to get brainwashed.

Now additional the kids safety is in danger as we all could see how safe Berkeley and NYU are.

Ummm...if you don't want to be brainwashed, don't go to those schools. It is very silly to pay $65000 to a school only to realize later that you were brainwashed. That means you did not do the necessary research but then do brainwashed people do the necessary research?

The social environment is more important. One can almost entirely avoid social issue oriented classes if you pick your major well. Though, there is always an undercurrent of liberal social policy in less rigorous science classes.

Some religiously founded Universities may have less of it. Though, those Universties can be over-priced.

I'd focus on better state schools. They are large enough, and blue collar enough in terms of the student body that they attract, that a diversity of opinion will be easier to find. Your kids certainly wouldn't feel boxed in with an SJW crowd if they did not want to be. At the same time, sticking to flagship or second tier state schools will assure that access to better academics is also available.

Private schools tend to attract the over-privileged kids who need what they feel to be principled social rebellion to spice of their mundane existence that does not have worry in regard to food, employment, or other financial issues. They have the privilege to be angry over and force their influence over policies and politics that will never affect them.

Puleeze, stop swiping at windmills. You Trumpees see conspiracies and darkness behind every tree, don't you ? Now you guys are fearing education ! I realize books and knowledge are like Kryptanite to Trumpees, but some of us embrace learning facts and reality.

There is more to life than simply reading the back of beer cans.

You would send your kids to Berkeley? That comes as a surprise, you do know that there are colleges that are more conservative in nature, don't you?

Yes, they also enjoy a good book burning, because as we know subversive ideas need to be removed.

I think the reason many grads come out of a decent, wide-ranging university curriculum isn't because they are "brainwashed by a liberal agenda" but more because they are (hopefully) encouraged to be curious, think for themselves, and are exposed to the histories of many cultures, thus having less fear and mistrust of "others."

If you kick around your whole life in the same 20 mile radius around people who all look and think like you, it's easier to be xenophobic.

[MOD CUT/trolling] why are you guys so paranoid? You see liberal bogeymen around every corner.

Colleges have always been bastions of higher reasoning and broader worldviews. Intelligence levels are generally higher in colleges so it stands to reason liberal ideas would reign supreme on their campuses. Relax, you can fill your kids with all the hateful, xenophobic right wing propaganda your heart desires once they come home.

Indeed. The rise of anti-intellectualism persists, but maybe that's okay. Leaves more opportunity for those who value education.
